About the Speaker

Binu Paul is a financial services and technology professional with over 25 years of experience spanning regulations and policy, innovation, corporate governance and strategy implementation. He has held senior roles in both the private and public sectors as well as founded businesses. He helped establish and lead the innovation capability at the Financial Markets Authority in New Zealand and was Head of Digital Assets at the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK.

Prior to his strategy implementation training at the Wharton business school of the University of Pennsylvania, Binu gained an MBA and qualified as an engineer. He currently works with a portfolio of financial services clients in multiple locations globally.

Event Details

The confluence of multiple technologies such as AI, blockchain, digital IDs and APIs are having a profound impact on every aspect of financial services, not only in how they are consumed but also broadening the range of threat vectors at the same time. This session will seek to help you gain a view of which technologies are the most impactful in adapting to shifting consumer expectations, meanwhile rapidly reshaping fraud typologies as well as the challenges facing responders.

We are pleased to be able to offer this event as both online and in person to our ACFE members across New Zealand. A link for online attendance will be emailed to registrants who have opted to attend online a few days prior to the event.

This event will be held on 13 October, with networking and nibbles from 5pm and the presentation commencing at 5.45pm. For online attendees, the presentation is expected to run until approximately 6:45pm.
