The session will explore the potential applications of various emerging technologies in fraud investigations. The discussion will include examples of current and future use cases related to machine learning, big data analytics, and cybersecurity, and how these technologies can enhance fraud detection, prevention, and investigation processes.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS 

Amy Dove is a forensic partner at Deloitte's Risk Advisory practice with over 25 years of experience in legal technology and analytics. Based in Wellington, she specializes in complex data management and analytics for forensics and litigation technology. Amy helps clients effectively manage and analyse large amounts of data, particularly in criminal investigations and prosecutions. She has previously led the Litigation Technology Service Center for the U.S. Department of Justice and has extensive experience in creating innovative technology solutions for data management and review projects. Amy is currently leading teams in New Zealand to support organizations in discovery, data management and regulatory disclosure requirements.

Joe Ellazar is a forensic technology manager, who recently joined our Wellington office. Joe has over 8 years of experience in Deloitte’s US firm, providing a wide variety of electronic discovery services.  He has worked with diverse case teams conducting various investigations and disputes with a broad range of data.
