TOPIC: Payroll systems - The Education Payroll experience
Preceded by the Wellington Branch AGM
ACFEs 2022 Occupation Fraud report indicates that Payroll Schemes are one of the greatest risk of fraud in the asset misappropriation group.
To hear how a Payroll system operates, please come along to hear how Education Payroll Ltd teamed up with Deloitte and delivered EdPay, providing accurate, timely and secure payroll services to state schools on behalf of the Ministry of Education. This resulted in Edpay being awarded the Red Hat Innovation Award in 2021.
Presentation will be preceded by the Wellington Branch AGM.
We ask that you consider volunteering or nominating members (with their knowledge) to the Wellington branch committee.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Speaker: Ronnie Chang, Head of Risk and Assurance for Education Payroll.
Ronnie has held Audit roles with the Department of Social Welfare, NZ Racing Board and Ministry for the Environment before joining Education Payroll in 2016.
Through Education Payrolls' service of EdPay, they provide accurate, timely and secure payroll services to over 2,500 schools and close to 100,000 staff on a fortnightly basis on behalf of the Ministry of Education.
The meeting will start with the Wellington Branch AGM. We are calling for nominations for the election of committee members.
We encourage members to volunteer to help support, contribute and assist in the organising of events for the Wellington Branch of the NZ ACFE Chapter.
If you are interested in joining the committee, please notify an existing committee member prior to the meeting. We will also accept nominations on the night.
